Sepentine Belt info

Hello, hope someone can help me with this one. I have a 1989 camaro with the 2.8 V6, the ac compressor is going out making all kinds of noise, it doesnt work anyhow so iam looking to remove all of it. Does anyone know what belt to use with the ac removed, and how to run the belt on the pulleys? Thanks in advance Chad

For my 383 I just rigged up an idler to replace the air, made sure it was aligned, and tied up some twine tight with an assistant holding he self adjuster with a 1/2" breaker bar... Take the twine loop to the auto store and get a 6 rib serpentine belt to match up... Note to self, write down the belts length (In the part #) for the next change.
