C4 vette oil pan fits a thrdgen with longtubes right?
Hey guys I did a search on this and basically all I found was a bunch of folks that mistakenly bolted their engine in with an vette oil pan and then their crossover for the drivers side exhaust would not fit between the pan and the cross member. I did not find anyone that is just running a stock C4 vette pan on their car. There were a few pics of this pan in the search and it did appear that it fit just fine, but again, I just wanted to know if anyone was actually successfully running this pan or not. I am swapping in a Lingenfelter 383 out of a 91 vette into my IROC, and since I will be running long tubes I was just going to run the stock vette pan with windage tray and all. If anyone knows anything about this let me know, thanks!

I'd have to dig deep for a pic because I dont have one. It appears the sump on the vette pan is a few inches longer than the sump on the Camaro pan. I am 90% sure this pan will fit the chassis as long as you dont try to use crossover exhaust, I just was hoping someone knew for sure or was actually running a vette pan.

only takes me 15 minutes to toss in an engine if i'm not hooking it up to see if it'll clear or not.

Well I do not have the 305 out yet for one. I am trying to plan all of my purchases before I do the swap. The corvette engine has different main bolts to accomodate the windage tray, and it obviously has a different oil pump pickup. It is just not as easy as dropping the engine to see if it fits. There are other parts involved and I dont have my 305 even out yet. If it was as easy as test fitting the engine I would have just done that already.
