Is it a loud tapping noise like when you back it off the rocker arm nut, or kind of like a sewing machine? Also, do you have flat tappet or roller lifters?

If you back off the rockers they tap loud. Is it the same noise after they're adjusted? Rocker arms shouldn't make noise unless they're fubared. Are you sure it's not an exhaust leak?

what do u mean backing off the rockers,

i did think it was an exhaust leak, and my exhaust was leaking, and had the pipes replace, i might be leaking from the headers,

its coming the passenger side it sounds likes the rocker arms. it might be leaking from the headers, the bolts are tight, i will try to replace the gasket and see what happens, i had mechanic adjust the rockers, the rocker are tighten to specs

umm, that's how you adjust them.....by backing of the nut with the engine running, tightening it to zero lash (tapping noise goes away), and then going an extra 1/2 to 1 full turn. My question in a nutshell is when you back them off with it running, does it make the same noise that you're hearing or a different one?

fubared= f'd up beyond all recogintion

Then I would ask whomever adjusted them if it's a valvetrain noise. WAG is it's a header leak. Good luck.
