so i just my timing chain, replaced my waterpump, came here to get the serpentine diagram i ran it right everything is on but its like 1/2 inch too short to go on even with the tensioner all the way over this is really starting to **** me off being held up by a damn belt any ideas?

 

Either it was on differently before, or you didnt put it back on right. Might want to verify the part number and/or try different routings.

 

got a diagram for 305 tbi im pretty sure i have it goin the right way and its seated correct in all grooves... and im missin the sticker so im no 100% but ive seen a bunch of tpi pics and i think its the same right?

 

More likely your waistline is expanding. I've heard that one before...

this is what i found its all set like this in the grooves but still wont come up enough to come onto any pulleys and ive tried just about all of them

 

Try this, may be a shorter path (I think it is)

 

put the belt on all the pullies except the alternator,push tensioner all the way over ,then put it on the alt.later jimmy

 

i got it, was trying to get it on using the wrong diagram, but it was the only one i could find here
