Your opinion

Ok decided to go carbed i want to keep it stock and only change ( carb electric choke, intake, distributor msd?? vac advance??.fuel regulator).

what is the best way to go to keep it smooth idle .

i am not lookin to race the car its my daily driver. I have been hearing all different things from all different people it gets confusing is there one baisic setup that is not to expensive

I think the car has enough power for what i am using it for .so if i could keep the same power and a smoother (regular idle)...oh and have it start first time in the morning ...I would be happy

With a new four barrel, I would strongly suggest a new intake, mostly for lighter weight, better heat dispersion, and a bit more power for the same economy. Another great upgrade would be a MSD style ignition, I prefer the accel 300+ for the simple install, and the integrated adjustable rev limiter for the same cost as a MSD 6A box. MSD will give you better economy, faster starts, and a bit more power. Another thing you might consider is a distributor, although you would most likely have to get one with a new ign. box. What kind of carb are you looking for? Hope this helps,

Well what i am really asking is suggestions for a daily driver

what carb would be best

what dist is best

what intake

and fuel regulator

for a smooth running (idleing) daily driver. But no loss of power

and not to much bank needed...lol

what kind of idling issues? what do you have and whats the problem? going carb for all out performance makes sense if your tryin to save money vs. injection which is much more expensive but if its an idle issue why not try to fix the problem? Give us some details and maybe we can help! There are many knowledgeable members here and I doubt you have an origional problem nobodys ever delt with before.
