thoughts on super tech ?
i use mobil 1 synth, and mobil 1 oil filter, altho the price of the filter is a bit steep at $10.......................for one of my other cars , i also use mobil 1 synth, i read that the super tech filters filter as good if not better than the mobil 1...................was wondering what you guys think about this, i found that their oil is made by exxon/ mobil and a few others thrown in a guess................im going to stay away from the oil, just like frams stuff...............but the filter seems enticing.........

I use super tech synthetic every oil change. The reason I use it is because it's cheap...can't beat $12 for 5 quarts of synthetic. I figure it this way it has to mee to r exceed ASE standards...so I figure because of that it is atleast better than the best dinosaur oil.

All oil has a standard that it must meet so the ASE or ASI whatever it is means that it is okay. Now then synthetic oil is better than regular oil. That makes me believe that super tech synthetic is better than mobil 1. As far as filters go your on your own I run AC delco. I once read an article that did a complete break down on oil filters.

According to a website I read that did a complete break down of oil filters, puralator pure 1 was one of the best if not the best, ac delco was not far behind.
