Smoking Rad!

Alright...When I parked my car today after about a 10 - 15 minute drive...much to my horror i noticed smoke bellowing out form under the hood...so i popped the hood and noticed that the smoke was comming from the rad...i also noticed that there was coolant everywhere which leads me to believe my rad is leaking...the coolent everywhere and the fact that i have very little coolant...even when the engine is stone cold the coolant resovoir is almost empty...i checked the temp gauge in the car and noticed the temp was well over 105 degrees...the car always had a over heating probible but it was never near this bad...like the summer driving through ontario doing about 120km/h - 130km/h in good 30 - 35 degree celcius wether it would heat up a bit and i would have to turn on the heat to relieve some heat from the engine bay and slow down a bit...but today i was driving for about 10 - 15 mins tops and the temp outside is around -4 celcius...what could this be?..thanks

Just to give you an idea of hot hot the engine bay got...i burned myself trying to take the cap off of the engine coolant resovior...that plastic tank behind the battery.

Well if you know the car over heats.... fix it man.

Either a bad rad or waterpump.

Since its now leaking, id say its the rad.

They can go bad and still "work"

I will go ahead and say you could just buy some aluminaseal stuff to fix your leak but just get a new rad. If it still gets hot after that........ water pump.

Don't be cheap and get the upgrade 4 core copper one from any auto store.
Not a fan of the aluminum rads. Though they can save space
