Hello im 16 years old and my dad gave me the camaro he had for over 13 years. We had it running really good but then , i smoked the tires in it then the next day it didnt have no power then it just got so bad it wouldnt start. we took it to the shop and found out that the fuel presure was 17 psi. good compression and good timeing. so i just replaced the fule pump it didnt start. so i got new plugs it started and had no power at take off like when you rev it up it dosent just go up it kinda takes a few seconds but the high rev is great. then it died i got the plugs cleaned and a new disbuter cap and roder bug. it ran a tad better but still no take off power and most of the time it will die if u keep it in gear to let it idel. im stumped what it could be its a newer rebuilt engien but it sat for awhile sence 2001 with a little driveing but i do not know what is wrong with it. i sprayed carb choke on the vacum lines to see if i had a leak but no higher idel. but where the pipe connects to the cat in the front the weld or whatever was holding in there broke so you can hear it leaking. any info would be great im willing to try anything meaning im just starting to get into cars but ,thank you camaroboy16
