TIMING ON 2.5 IRON DUKE

TIMING ON 2.5 IRON DUKE

reading tag on header it says to jump diagnostic port start engine and set timing to an average of cylinders 1-4. is this right. i thought you never started motor with diag. jumper in ? any help ?

The reason to jump the diagnostic port is to bypass the computer so the timing can be set.
