Valve Spring Retainers & Locks

I got a new cam so I am going to be putting that in along with new lifters and valve springs. The springs are CompCam 981's Do I need to get new retainers and locks or can I re-use the old ones? Or should I just get new ones since they are over 20 years old?

You can reuse the stock stuff. The 981 springs are pretty mild. If you're going to replace anything jsut replace the locks with another stock set (7* angle, 11/32" valve stems). If anything took a beating it's the locks. Retainers almost never fail.
