1991 TPI 350 HARD START AND STUMBLES
1991 TPI 350 HARD START AND STUMBLES
I bought a 91 GTA and had to change the engine, it was not original (big cam, wrong heads, alot of black smoke). I installed a 91 TPI engine out of a Corvette. Rebuilt and run on an engine stand with a carb for testing only.
The fuel injectors were mismatched (different numbers) so I installed a set I had (17086544 236 cc @ 3 bar), ( are these compatible with a 350)?
Everything went together real well but it will not start on its own, with a shot of ether it starts right up and stays running smoothly (it does crank over just fine) (when I turn on the ignition, I can here the fuel pump running and the pressure comes up on the fuel to 40 psi). When I step on the accelerator (in park) it stumbles and dies. The noid light for checking the pulses at the injectors does blink, but dimly (I believe).
The prom is a factory stock AUJP.
What is the pulse width I should see on the injectors with a cold engine? Does anyone have any suggestions?
