081 Heads
Hey Everyone.
Today i pulled the vavle covers off my 146000 miles LB9, and to my surprise, what i was bless with was an absolutaly mint inside. Heads look as if their brand new.
Now, what kind of flow could i get out of these heads with a little porting on a 350?
I would add some better vavles and valve springs.
also would like to know how much lift these heads could take.
What their combustion chamber size is, etc.
Thanks!

if you'll be using the 081's on a 350 you want to go up to a 1.94x 1.60" valve set. With this and a full home port job you'll easily get over 230cfm intake and 170+ex. will support 400++hp. Search mine and Sitting Bull's posts on porting 305 heads. its all there. Don't worry about how much lift the stock heads will take. if you want to know measure it yourself. have a machine shop machine the guide bosses for teflon seals. Shorten the boss by .200".
Drill and pin the rocker studs yourself.
