clunk

when i push the gas hard my camaro makes a clunk sound. my dad thinks its either a motor or tranny mount or the brakes, what do you think it could be?

Transmission: T-5 , 4 speed auto
Axle/Gears: 3.42 , ?
could be your track brace [ panard ] bar , came loose from the body . [ mine did ] goes from upper rt. of rear axle to lt. side of body . mine was clunking when i went over r/r tracks and speed bumps . pull lt. rear wheel and look , on mine all 3 bolts had fallen out . hope this helps . uncle tom , ret. acft. mech.

When it does this, lay your hand on the tranny tunnel. If it is the transmission mount you will feel it clunk.

forgot to add that it only happens from a dead stop! can feel it in the whole car. need help quick

Rear end problem. Proably the u bolts are loose. When you take off the rear end rocks back. Leave it and it will be expensive when you have to change out driveshaft.

what do i need

anything other than a socket set to fix this, is it an easy fix?
