I was told you can tell by looking at the dipstick, If its on the passenger side its a 305 and drivers side its a 350. Dont know how true it is though.

If its the original motor then you can look at the vin number. Look at the 8th digit if its a F then its 305 and 8 is 350. Im not sure on the other letters, just post it and someone will know.

The VIN will tell you what the car had from the factory, which may or may not be what it has now. The only way to be sure is to check the casting numbers on the back of the block.

Good to know, I was told that by somebody but I didnt believe it because when I went oilpan shopping you could get it with the dipstick on either side.
