Noisy cam ?

Can someone tell me why the xe flat tappet cams are noisy? I have installed 2

Breakin went OK. No wiped lobes, yet.

They move the valves about as fast as they can possibly be moved.

Compare gently drifting them open, and slowly letting them drift gently back to their seat, with hitting them with a hammer.

For max power, you want them to be open as near instantly as possible; stay open as long as possible; and snap back closed in as little time as possible. The farther open the valves are, for longer, the more flow you get. The trick is, to break as few parts as possible in the process.

So yeah, a certain amount of noise is to be expected.
