odometer off?
Was driving down the interstate the other day and started watching the odometer compared to the mile markers. It seems the first mile my odometer was off a little.By the third or fourth mile I was almost two tenths off.It was completeing a mile on my odometer before the mile markers came up.Does this mean my odometer is showing more miles than I actually have or are the mile markers maybe off?Maybe it had a rear swap i didnt know about. How much would this affect my mph? Thanks

most likely someone has changed the gears out of it and gone to something a bit more steep and never bothered to change the speedo gears.
Your indicate mileage is likely higher than the actual mileage. The speedometer is likely off by an equal percentage (indicated higher than actual MPH). If the tire size is correct, that doesn't leave much but a different rear gear ratio or incorrect speedo gears in the transmission after transmission work/exchange.

Tire size is stock so i`m gonna pull the diff cover.I just figured it would be off by more if someone changed it cause its barely noticeable on the first mile, about half of a tenth of a mile and i run 2000 RPM at 70 mph so i figured that was about right for 2.73 gears.
