Complete Spring tune-up

Hey all, OSS here;

For spring, I plan on giving the Camaro a total tune up. I was wondering what parts would be ideal for the tune up? What wires, plugs ect would be good?

I'm installing a new 650 Speed Demon carb, probably an Edlebrock mech fuel pump n reg, installing a new clutch kit and alum driveshaft. It's an LG4 with performer intake, cam, headers, full exhaust.

What weight oil should I run for the summer, usually I run 10W30. Expense isnt an issue, I'm looking for the best things I can use to tune up and get ready for summer.

I wouldn't use the edelbrock pump and regulator. That's a waste of money right there. That stock mech pump (or another stock replacement) will feed a healthy 350, and as long as you're getting enough fuel, than you don't need a new pump.
I'd use Delco H45TS's, or the champion equivalent, I think it's a 17. I like champion because they're silver, so they're easier to read, vs the black oxide delcos.
I think wires are more hype than reality, I buy the normal bosch stock replacements, which come with a lifetime warantee, and I keep the receipt

In Quebec? I think 5W30 would be ok for the summer, it's not a huge deal from 10W30 to 5W30. I'd use Mobil 1 synthetic, but that's just a personal opinion.

I'd throw in a fuel filter and air cleaner as well, maybe spray some water through the carb on high idle to help it clear it's throat, and you should be good to go.
That's a sharp looking car, that color scheme really makes it "pop".

I suppose I should elaborate on my thinking.

In late may, my site is planning a meet in Florida, and I'm driving about 26hrs down to Florida, so I'm looking to replace some parts, along with giving myself some room to upgrade in the future. The carb is brand new, so the it'll be all clean. I've also got a K&N that I cleaned n oiled about a month ago and it's sitting in my basement until the snow clears.

I'll definitivly look into the plugs you've suggested. Also for the trip, I'm going to replace the wheel bearings...again, just because the trip is so long, I don't want things to fail when I'm like 16hours out of my country!

Thanks for the write up, it's good to see dedicated people making writeup's rather then simple answers.

Also thankyou for the compliment, the colour scheme definitivly makes the car stand out, although if I had painted it, I would have gotten something like royal blue and silver or something. At least I'm easily reconized in town hehe
