code 33 question
code 33 question
just wonderin what all a code 33 means ,can this mean a vaccum leak,im a little cofused code 33 =(high voltage(low vaccum)at mass air flow sensor)does that mean my mass air flow ensor is crap or vaccum leak?any help would b appreciated,thanx,Joe

well i would guess it means that your sensor needs to be ADJUSTED
or is installed incorrectly... got it pointing the right direction?

yeah,its all installed correctly and wouldnt it come from the factory set at a default setting ?,cause it dont kick the code until i get up to about 45mph,dont know if that makes a differancebut how exactly would i set an adjustable maf?any insight would be great!thanks

well i would start looking for some type of potentiometer then with a volt meter adjust it so that at idle you have a reading of .5 volts and a reading of 4.7 volts at WOT

i think you found my problem,i checked to see if it was tuned to cold air and it is not,what can i do to stop the code 33,would i be better of 2 put the stock one back in,thanks for all the help

well i would try to get a refund if that isnt possible then i would try and tune that one i think it could be done by just adjusting the voltage as the turbulance created by the cold air will be present at idle and would be affecting the idle voltage of the MAF so you should be able to adjust it and be fine it is really simple to do as the idle setting seems to be the most important you should try setting that and see what that gives you
