umm...check out your starter, the wires that come off of that go to your fuse box and then distribute power, but if they are loose, sometimes certian parts will work while others wont.

on my car, the engine would die when i'd accelerate or decelerate, my radio would die as well, but my gage lights would stay on. and my wipers still worked.

Also something could be grounding shorting out part of the fuse box.

Make sure your fuel pump is working. Check its fuse under the dash and make sure that it charges up when you put the key in the on position. If it doesn't and the fuse is fine, then check your FP relay and FP circuit - for a diagram go to www.chevythunder.com. If the rest of the circuit is good, you can charge the FP up manually by placing a fused jumper wire (20 amps) between the 1st and last terminals. If you hear it buzz and then your able to start your car, then it's your relay. If it doesn't buzz when you do this, then it could be your FP. Good luck.

The fact that you don't have juice to the ign. terminal on your fuse box anymore, ought to tell you something. Fix that, and your problem might go away!

Was it the engine to firewall strap? or somewhere else? Glad to hear you got it going again.
