Tranny crossmember bushings. where are mine?
At the parts counter I noticed a listing for crossmenber bushings. I looked under my car and noticed I dont have this. Mine has just the transmission mount in between the 700r4 and the crossmember. I noticed in a picture that one of the members on this site put up that tehre is supposed to be a bracket with 2 bushings on each side. How come I dont have this, and do I need it??. Car is an 87 iroc. The bracket and bushings circled in the picture are what I am missing.

You don't need crossmember bushings. Some applications (subject to much debate and head-scratching as to which ones) had the transmission mount on a secondary crossmember, which was isolated from the main crossmember with the crossmember bushings.
