engine squeal, engine light, rpm jumps up n down

Ok I have a new throttle body and new IAC Sensor. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt the IAC/TPS/IDLE adjustment.

Car ran fine for months with out the adjustment but i jsut recently disconnected the battery because the hatch pull down motor drained the battery and i had to test it and tested the alternator because I waasn't 100% sure it was jsut the hatch motor that ran all night and kill my battery.

both battery and alternator checked out fine. Battery was charged and everything was put back into the car.

What happened before ripping everything out i jumped started the car and had a random idle and then sounded like the car was gasping for air or power or sometihng and then died after a few minutes. I don't think theres a vacuum problem because car ran fine 2 days before.

so after trying with everything back in the car i get this high pitch squealing from teh alternator. Thinking its the belts i sprayed them a little but didnt help the noise much. I drove the car around the block and it was gasping once i let off the gas pedal. I got a check engine light. I dont have a tester for that but I know someone who can help.

I had to leave for work and tomorrow i'm going to attempt the idle adjustment procedure.

I didnt rush to do the adjustment becuase car ran great with the new parts.

but because this was teh first tiem the battery was removed I think the ECM (computer) jsut started to relearn what it is connected to and is tryign to say it needs the adjustment.

I am posting this because I would like other opinions from all you guys maybe i'm forgetting something.

I'll see what the adjustment does and i'll have a friend plug in and tell me what the engine code is but i'm still puzzled by the squealing.

any ideas?

i also read that i need to tighten the alternator. the squealing is the belt skipping over the pulley. thats one problem probably solved. the idle air adjustment should fix the random rpm.

sorry for wasting anyones time i jsut want other people seeing if tehreis something else i need to do in the process
