Help Removing Left Valve Cover
Help I can't get the driver side valve cover off my stock 1987 TransAm with 305 4BBL with A/C. I have moved the throttle bracket and brake booster line, and A/C support bar. It still doesn't have enough clearance between the A/C and the windshield motor assembly to come out. The book doesn't say anything about removing the A/C to get it off. Is there some trick to getting it off? I really don't want to lose my R12.

Re: Help Removing Left Valve Cover
The A/C compressor has to be dis-mounted. Not a big deal.
Just take the 3 adjustment bolts and the one pivot bolt out; unplug the electrical connections; and lift it up out of there and set it on top of the radiator.
No need to worry about the Freon. It'll stay in there.

Thanks Sofakingdom, that worked perfectly.
Didn't look like it would come out like that with the lines attached but it did.
