more air or fresh air?
I have an 83 Trans Am Lg4 305. I was wondering if it would be more benifical to elimate my stock "fresh air" intake and use an open element, for more flow Would engine temps make this mod counter-productive? I guess its a question of do lower intake temps. or air flow velicity benifit more. Im sure some fresh air would get in through the vent if and when the scoop actuates. I dont know. Can i get some input.
Thanks, Jim

Usually cooler air is better than more underhood air. Heck, more cool air is best
I'd make sure your scoop is opening. Or fab up some sort of way to seal your air cleaner to the scoop, and make sure it's open.
