A while back my ecm was messed up somehow and I dont know if this has anything to do with this but all I know is I replaced and coincidently my speedo stopped working(still lights up at night) and the odometer as well so its stuck on 67k that was about 300 miles ago any help on what this can be the tach and everything else works lights up and powers fine is it a computer issue or has something come loose?
I have a 91 camaro if that helps

 

Sounds like the lead to the ecm from the vss isnt making connection. Check the lead with the yellow and purple wire @ the ecm.

 

My speedo quit working a while back, after buying a new sending unit and checking all the wiring it ended up being a bad speedo, had to get a used one at a junkyard.

 

WELL HOPEFULLY ITS JUST THE CONNECTOR LEAD WHICH I CAN CHECK AFTER THE WORK IF THE WHOLE SPEEDO IS FAULTY HOW WOULD I REPLACE THAT AND WHAT ABOUT MY LOW ODOMETER MILES WOULD THAT BE AFFECTED? THE BAD THING WOULD BE REPLACING THE SPEEDO THE GOOD THING OUT OF THAT WOULD THEN BE I WOULD BE ABLE TO ADD THOSE REVERSE GLOW GUAGE LIGHTS THAT I WANTED TO ADD WITH THE POWER INVERTER BUT I JUST DIDNT WANT TO MESS WITH THAT AREA..UNLESS I HAD TOO..OR MAYBE JUST CHANGE THE GUAGE BULBS TO BLUE
