Starter Solenoid -- "S" or "R"?

I didn't notice while taking the starter off, but there is an "S" and I believe an "R". Which does the little wire connect to? Thanks!

Sis the solenoid wire

R is for power during crank it used to feed the points in the distributor in the days before HEI
