SB2 heads

I'm building a 406 for my 89 rs I got the rotating assembly and all the machine work done to the block I'm thinking of buying a used set of sb2 heads to top it off besides the rockers and the intake are there any special parts that I'll need to make these heads work on my motor?

Re: SB2 heads

The exhaust side is different too. I'd also venture a guess that with the wrong cam and pistons, piston-valve clearance may become an issue.

Ya you will have to have a set of headers made. That will not be cheap. I usually charge between $800.00-1000.00 for a custom set of long tubes including the cost of the kit. Bank on a few bucks there.
