help with the other money hole
well i have a 350 TPI that i have in a water craft... now i bought this beast a while back and it ran pretty decent then i changed the plugs, cap, rotor, and wires... now it runs like ****... well not right off the bat after about 15 minutes... starts right up idles and runs great about a mile downriver get off the throttle to turn still running fine go to hammer down again... nothing starts to accelerate then wont rev and starts to die out until i pull the throttle back and smoking out the exhaust at the same time...
now what i have done. 2x new dist... new coil, new wires, new plugs, cap, rotor, checked fuel preassure 49 psi while running, adjusted timing to 6*,8*,12*,-2*,-4*,-6*, all injectors are firing, new ECM, a known good ecm,
now for some explantion of how this is set up...
engine is enclosed in a 9x6 box along with a secound 350 air is routed into engine compartment but not out so they are running on their own hot air...
but they are freshwater cooled with 50* water today problem was still present... i should note that the other engine runs beautiful every time never a problem...
now for the myths i have been told...
1 fuel is puddleing in the heads do to an incorrect injector angle in the tpi intake... same intake found on the iroc..
2 tpi engines need to run vacuum dists...
3 i have to much fuel preassure
4 the plugs are to cold
-----------
now i have been thinking it might be the knock sensor either i am getting knock or it is bad... or getting interferance form the other items in the bay
would simply unplugging it work to eliminate it?
if it was pulling timing would it allow it continue to advance unless it had more knock counts?
also the PO fogged the TPI could that have damaged the injectors?
