Best quench?

What have some of you guys found to be the best quench on a 350 with flat top pistons and fast burn heads, or any other heads? Does .035 sound good? Or can i go .030? Thanks!

Re: Best quench?

Closer is better, in general; but too close can be disastrous, if the pistons hits the head. I'll give up a HP or 2 if it means my motor doesn't mechanically self-destruct.

In the real world, .035 is about as close as you want to get. If you've got your block zero-decked THAT PERFECTLY to your pistons, I'd leave it alone and run it.
