Hood Clearance (heres a good one...)

Just throwing this out there, hopefully someone has a similar setup...

Performer RPM airgap intake
Holley street avenger 770cfm
K&N X-stream assembly (std 9/16" raised base w/ 4" element)

Looking at purchasing a Harwood 4" Cowl bolt-on hood to tuck this under, this will also hopefully leave enough room for a small blower one day or a centrifugal blow-through setup.

Since the intake is .5" higher than my current one and i assume the carb is the same height as a 600cfm edelbrock (probably not, anyone got a measurement?) and this air cleaner is about 2.25" taller than the old one... I HOPE this would all fit in there!

Anyone with a similar rig?

standard vic jr. - 5/8" shorter than RPM airgap
1" spacer
demon carb
14x3 X-stream 9/16" raised base

i have a home-made scoop that is about 2" high in the back and 3" high up front.. it barely fits under there.. a 4" cowl should work for you

Cool, i figured it should all fit in there nicely. But thats judging by the fact that the street avenger carb isnt too much taller than a 600cfm edelbrock!

I guess if it doesnt fit i could always replace the 4" element for a 3"....

thats always an option.. but if it allows, i would go big.. if the wingnut on my filter didnt barely clear the roof of my scoop, i would have a 4" filter..
