Ported ZZ4 heads, I need pics!
Does anybody have any pics of ported ZZ4 heads anywhere? I'm wanting to do alittle work on my 463's and I need a basic view of what I need to do.The heads already have a 3 angle valve job, Backcut valves, have been milled down to 52cc, and the combustion chambers have been fully smoothed and polished. All I really want to do with them is to smooth out the exhaust side to a mirror polish and bowl blend the intake side. That's why I'm asking for pics.visual guide I guess.Any help would be great. PLEASE!!!

I would imagine what to do is apply what it takes to port any other aluminum head and do the same. Lots of pictures in the archives of ported heads just apply it to yours. I really like this article because it breaks up the steps a little better. Its a set of vortecs but you get the idea. Remember the biggest restriction is at the valve area to the bowl and around the valve stem so smoothing these areas will give the most. Short side radius on the exhaust is another good area. Vortecs in cast form are excellent in this area.
