i was just wantin some basic info on this motor, i hear alot of hype about it. what all can be done with it from the factory? what kind of power can it hold? i bealive i seen one in a chevy mag that had fastburn heads and a comp cam i belive and it was making close to 450 hp. does this sound right??

 

Just putting the Fast Burn heads on ups power from 355 to 385. 450 HP isn't unreasonable.

 

Sure, but I think it would idle like crap for the street. I think one of those GM crate motor dealers sells a package with a big comp. cam stick and AFR heads and it makes over 450hp but I don't know how streetable it is at that point. I have seen several zz4s with fastburn heads and hotcam package run mid 12s in the 1/4mile with about 420hp and are still daily driven.ZZ4's bottom end is good for about 500hp.They are good motors but yes there is alot of hype about how fast they are.Here are some examples of performance in 1/4mile.
ZZ4 355hp 13.2-13.8
ZZ4 385hp (fastburn) 12.9-13.5
ZZ430 (most people report more around 420hp at the crank) 12.5-12.9

These are just what I have seen but every car and driver are different.

 

what kind of power whould a set of brodix track 1 make on it? also the times u posted up are they in a f-body with full factory wait?
