Tall Valve Covers - A/C Clearance
Tall Valve Covers - A/C Clearance
Pulled the 350 from my Jeep but forgot to check a/c compressor clearance to the stock valve covers.
I'm going with 1.5 roller rockers so I need taller valve covers but I'm concerned about the a/c lines clearing the covers.
Anyone here running tall centerbolt covers with the a/c compressor mounted on the passenger side?
Before I order valve covers I'd also like to know how everyone is routing non smog TPI pcv, etc... any photos would be appreciated.

I dont have center bolt but I do have tall valve cover on my 84 Z28 and it has a 355 and the fit fine when i had the ac in the car.
Re: Tall Valve Covers - A/C Clearance
I've got the Proform Aluminum covers and 1.6 rr's. A/C line clearance is no problem. On the left side I use the std. location for the pcv and oil fill cap. On the r/s I blocked off the return breather line to the throttle plate and went w/ an old style open breather. These photos are after the header install but before I decided to de smog. The breather, pcv and oil cap are all visible and did not change, Joe
