charcol canister

charcol canister

Hi!
Were chould the rubber housing from the charcol canister go?
To tb or somewere else.
Have to get rid of that fuelsmell.

I will guess that you are asking about the rubber HOSE from the canister.

The purge hose should connect to the throttle body, but through a purge conrtol solenoid valve mounted to the top of the canister. The vapor hose should connect to the tank vent fitting.

There is another fitting on the EVAP (charcoal) canister which may or may not have a hose on it. That should be an atmopheric vent line.

Teh small vacuum connection on the bottom of the TB is a timed vacuum port for both the EVAP purge signal and the EGR solenoid source. The purge hose from the canister connects on the right side of the TB.

IIRC, the last year for a replaceable filter on the EVAP canister was 1987.
