Hi, I'm a first time poster and I've got a small problem.


My cruise control will no longer work. It's worked before, it worked a few days ago, and now when I press the button to set the speed, it won't engage.

I don' think it's a loose wire since the wipers still work, but I'm thinking it may be the lever?

Anyone have any relevant similar issues?

I did with my 88 IROC it was the brakelight switch.Only costs 8or9 bucks.After I fixed that cruise worked again for a little while then my lever went bad and havent had issues since.

 

i'm assuming that's in the cruise lever area? or connected to the lever?
i apologize for being such a layman. ha

 

Brakelight switch is by the peddle under the dash.It isnt very hard to change.Just make sure you adjust it or you wont have brake lights.

 

Is your speedo working? I have a 91 RS and one time my speedo quit working and I lost the use of my cruise control until my speedo was working again.

 

I have the same problem i think I may have mucked something up when I changed the ignition switch. I'll try changing the brake light switch and see if that will fix it
