Valve Tapping

Toady I had someone look over my car and the said i have a val tap,plus in burning oil like crazy its smokey all out of the exhaust at lights,in park or just simply starting the car cause someone help me fix this asap

How many miles on the motor. Could be leaking rings or bad valveseals. Exaust leaks can be mistaked for valve tapping. Take the valvecovers off and check the rocker arms, see if any are loose.

There's your advice, go to it. He's not talking to hear his own voice. Just have it idling, warmed up, then shut it off and remove a valve cover, and start it back up, watch the rockers. If they are all ok, none are loose, then check the other side.
Go from there.
