Ok this morning i didnt realize there was a ball under my car until i started moving, by the time i realized it the ball was up near the cat/exhaust mainfolds....i had to pop it but its not making a noise like something is hitting a fan and i have no clue what it is..on top of that having the anger problems i do i smashed my phone into 10 pieces good choice ha? Need Help guys!

I dont think it got that far up, but the far is after the radiator correct? Sorry for the newb question havent done much engine work yet...haha still learning

What kind of ball?
Maybe some pieces got stuck up there. Does it make this noise when moving, or even if the car is still? ie, is it stuck in the driveshaft area or the fan area?

Looking in the fan area is a good start. Not much moves back of there, unless it in the driveshaft/tailshaft area. (u joint coupling?)

 

ha a basketball i dont think anything came off of it, i had to pop it with a steak knife...ill upload a video in a min

 

I got it looked and the noise stopped....so im good now. thanks guys

Once again proving that the tech section can solve any and all third gen problems.

 

hehe...sorry guys. I had to wipe the tears from my eyes laughing at this. NO OFFENSE. We were all probably over sensitive to problems/issues when we started out. Hopefully nothing got tweaked / bent by that ball (doesn't hurt to check radiator hose, power steering return line, etc underneath).

 

Gotta love it.

a basketball,.. thats funny. it reminds me of what happened to me.

years ago i had a chevy vega, i went bowling one night & when i left someone had left their bag with a ball in it behind my car. yep, i backed right over it, it made it all the way up under the drivers seat before i got stopped. i figured no problem, i'll just pull forward, it wouldn't go past the read end going forward. by this time im the only one left in the parking lot at about 2:30 A.M. no jack, no blocks, no nothing. im pulling forward & backing up trying to get the damn thing out,.. & the cops show up,.... they asked me what i was doing, i told them, after they finally stopped laughing, they let me use their jack
