Been haveing a problem lately with a stall at wot.When I floor it it takes off fine and spins tires like crazy as normal.Then it just cuts off for a split second like I take my foot off the gas.Then just as fast as it stopped it starts back again at wot cause my foot never left the floor with the pedal under it.Doesnt seem to happen at the same rpm every time.It`s kinda hard to pinpoint cause it doesnt happen every time.It happened at the track last time I was there almost every time.When it didnt happen my times where much better.I was thinking it was engine related like vacume or timing but after writing this It seems like it might be my trans slipping.I dunno so much stuff on this car is so old.New engine on old drive train could be my problem.Anybody else ever deal with this?

 

Anybody?Could valve float cause this?Seems to happen in 1st or 2nd gear.Car runs a little crappy cold at start up.Could it be fuel pump related?Open to suggestions.lil` help guys.Other than that seems to run fine.well,sometimes it feels like a slight pert throttle miss.May just have to let a real mechanic drive it.

 

Does the engine RPMs drop, or does the car just seem to stop pulling? How is your ignition system? Does the motor sound like it's "breaking up" or does it just lose power?

 

rpm`s drop and all goes quiet for just a second.Then it starts back where it left off.Almost like i take my foot off the gas.I thought about ignition but everything is pretty much new.I did fry my msd coil and had to go with a stock 4.3 one for now.I`m gonna buy a hvac coil to go with my didital 6.Wonder if thats it.
