Strange Idle

When I start up my car it idles at 1800 rpm then when its warm it idles at about 1500 when I give the throttle a couple of quick pumps it will drop to 1000 and if I do it again usually it drops down to a nice 700 rpm but, It doesnt stay there after I have to give it gas it shoots back up to 1500 rpm at idle and sometimes higher in park. Whats going on?? Vacumm Leak??

Re: Strange Idle

Try cleaning the throttle body and linkage to see if it frees things up first.

Re: Strange Idle

Hi....Take a screw driver...break the screws loose on the the throttle blade and tighten them back up! Sometimes just a slight repositioning will work!!
