okay i have given up searching through all the will a 305 fit on a 350...
now i have a 350 with the 8" dampner what i need to know is will it have clearance issues with the serpintine brackets off of my RS
if so is it anything a little grinding wont cure?
and will my crank pulley from the 305 be the right distance off of the 8" dampner...

Re: serpentine belt+ 8"dampner...
The distance to the face of all dampers should be the same. The only problem I ran into putting an 8" damper on my '88 serpentine setup is clearance with the metal coolant tubes that go to the oil cooler. Very, very close to the 8" damper ring (less than .010"). I don't know if your setup uses this or not. If you have a timing cover that matches the 8" balancer you should be fine. Sorry for the crappy picture, everything is painted black.
