Starter Help
Ok here is my problem. I have a 350 from I dont know what with a Turbo 350 tranny. The motor is mildly built and my stock starter has decided to break off of my block. I have drilled out the one bolt and retaped both holes, but now every time I try to start it grinds. If I stick a socket in between my starter and oil pan it cathes the flexplate just fine (most of the time) but once it starts the socket falls out and the starter will not recrank but instead will grind. I have heard of braces that used to be used and wondered if that might help? Also could I use a inline mini starter instead of the staggered bolts? Any help would be nice as I want to be able to drive it again.

Re: Starter Help
It sounds like the alignment of the bolt holes has been messed up with drilling and retapping.
