simple question
my car smokes and hesitates ... its got 97k on the clock
i want to have a shop rebuild by motor. how much money should i expect to be spending. i was told it may have a dead cylinder, im an auto collision guy, i mean i know what a dead cylinder is but have no idea how much it costs to fix. some help plz.

to have a shop pull the engine and rebuild and replace... a lot.. it is easy enough that you could do it your self though for much cheaper

Most shops will put a rebuilt motor in.It's a little more difficult to get one to rebuild your motor.Most places turn yours in for a core.
