HELP!!! key wont turn to start.

please help I went out this morning and moved my 83 trans am into the drive way and when I went to move it up into the garage a few min later the key wouldnt go all the way to the start position. it will turn to acc and just a very little bit more but not all the way to start so i cant start the car it feels like its binding up. whats going on also it did it to me alittle yesterday but i just messed with the key then it went to start and started the car. now today nothing

Try lubing the key up with WD-40 and jiggling it around in the cylinder. Sounds like you may be in need of a new ignition cylinder.

Try moving the steering wheel wile turning the key.

well i used a hole bunch of wd-40 and all i had to do was push < in pretty hard on the key then turn it and it stays in farther then it works but if i dont push in it wont turn all the way. ( and when i mean im pushing hard on the key its to get the cylinder that holds the key to go in farther) Thanks for the help!
