remote starter solenoid
Not getting any attention in electrical, putting thread here
just unbolted the solenoid
can i just run a longer wire to the starter motor and bolt the solenoid up in the engine bay somewhere near by.
only question was the little clip in the housing that the solenoid hooks onto, thats not some kind of ground or anything is it? is that going to be an issue if thats not touching?

figured run a just slightly heavier wire to the wire thats already there, and bolt the solenoid in in the enigne bay
EDIT more pics apparently that rubber piece pops out

Uhhh, you don't remote the solenoid from the starter itself. . .

Re: remote starter solenoid
but cant i?
or is that piece on the bottom important?
if i could have just the starter down there it would make my long tube install a LOT easier
i have my ministarter rotated the only way that the solenoid will fit with the headers there, and the starter is pressed firmly against the header.
I need to rotate the starter back but theres no space for the solenoid
