Looks like im going to be ordering cantons road race oil pan tommorow
pretty sure this is the right part number
#15-244T pan for 86 and newer blocks with a one piece seal.
the car is a 90 5.7 iroc with the factory block in her

they also have a bunch of stuff listed on the bottom of the f-body pan section, and im not sure what i need to order
not sure what all the different kind of pickups are
the oil pan bolts that i have should be fine but am i better off picking up a stud kit?
also not sure if i should grab their sbc crank scraper while im at this, i think it has one somewhat built in if you read their page?
not sure what this means either

#20-020 Pickup for SM. BL. H.V. Pumps.
#20-023 Pickup for S.B.H.V. with 3/4" tube Melling #M155HV.
OPTIONS:
#22-405 required plug if not using the factory GM 20 mm oil level sender.
#88-100 Gasket set for pre-1985 SBC blocks.
#88-100T Gasket set for 1986+ SBC blocks.
#22-300 SB Chevy oil pan stud kit.
#22-350 SB Chevy oil pan bolt kit.
#20-820 SB Chevy Crankscraper.
lastly is this something i can do in my driveway? iirc oil pickups need to be press fit into the block which is something that i wouldnt be able to do, i would really rather not have to pay a shop to do this tho

Call Canton.
Ask them what you need. They will probable sell you a pump with the pick up already installed if you ask nice.
Ask them if you can still use your dipstick. I doubt that you will be able to as if will hit the baffles in the pan and the windage trey. I have never been able to use the dipstick in race pan. This makes checking the oil real fun when you have to crawl up under the car and rumove the plug in the top of the pan wings and poke a probe down there all the while keeping trash out of the oil.
A word of advise. If you don't need the pan dont replace it. Ask how it works with stock exhause etc. It may be a simple swap on the engine stand but on in the driveway.
Call Canton. If you are worried about oil control under cornering I would put in an accusump before I changed the pan. It may be eaiser.
