Re: white smoke

it must be pretty warm down in KY right now... it isnt oil if it is truely white... it is coolant the fact it is coming out the exhaust does narrow it down a bunch...

you can start the car and get yourself a small mirror/ piece of glass hold it right infront of the exhaust.. if you get moisture your have a blown headgasket... no moisture it is something else but if it is white it is probably a blown head gasket

why did you do valve seals if the smoke is white? does it have a blueish tint to it... smell like burning oil?

Re: white smoke

right before i did valve seals when you would start it you couldnt see your hand in front of your face in the garage lol after the valve seals it seemed to calm the smoke down alot now you can only see it if you are standing right behind the car

Re: white smoke

while you had the valve covers off , did you make sure the drain holes in the front & rear corners of the cylinder head were not sludged up ? they allow the oil from the valves to drain back to the pan . if they are blocked or sludged up oil will not drain from the heads back to the pan fast enough . new seals or not oil can buildup/collect and run down the guides . sounds like that may be your problem. happened to me when i was in a hurry . ream drain holes with a screwdriver , and a blast of air should do it .

Re: white smoke

WHY YES , oil cannot drain back to the pan fast enough . it builds up and goes down the valve guides . then you get smoke from the oil. CHECK THEM .

Re: white smoke

the water droplets could be just condensation . take it out for a drive [ not in the rain ] get up to normal operating temp. , about 20-30 mins. . go back home if water is still coming out of tailpipe you may have other issues . any other recent issues/ problems ?
