cam question

whats the biggest cam that you can put in a 350 block with a 383 crank and using stock 5.7 rods and arp rod bolts without clearancing issues?? i currently run a .480 lift melling cam now and am thinking of upgrading. not sure if i damaged the one i have during break in period or not. the motor got pretty hot when i first got it together until i changed to a bigger radiator.

Re: cam question

The only way to find out for sure is to try.

I had an XE268 in a 383 with stock rods and ARP bolts.
