stripped threads

stripped threads

i was draining my cooling system tonight and when i put the plug back in on the bottom i stripped it. any thoughts on how to repair this even a quick fix as the car is going into storage. this is an all aluminum rad also.

quick fix would be to slap an expansion plug in it... those little rubber plugs that you twist the back of and they expand... you could also get some of that thread repair stuff they sell at autozone... its not helicoil its a liquid that you use to reform threads. supposed to be a perm fix never tried that though.
