Re: rough idle cams?witch????

simply looking for a rough idle isnt a good reason.. what do you want to do with your car? Is it a daily driver? What form of induction are you running? What are your goals? Does it need to pass emissions? What other mods do you have?

Just noticed you have an Lb9 so thats tpi.. I'm sure someone can come up with a decent cam selection for you if you tell them what it is that you're looking for.. you should at least start with headers and a full exhaust system back before anything else though.. you'd be suprised how much power is robbed by the factory exhaust system..

TPI and rough idle do not belong in the same sentence, paragraph, or car.

As said, reconsider your reasons.

Re: rough idle cams?witch????

by full exhaust I ment headers and everything back, headers are a must if you want power from these cars, its the single cheapest hp per $ mod you can do. There are cams out there that work well with TPI, but as five7 said rough idle and tpi dont really go well togather. Also consider with a cam swap there are other supporting mods that you may need such as new valve springs, and you might want to upgrade the rocker studs in your heads and high lift cams tend to pull factory pressed in studs out, also you will most likely need a new custom chip burnt to get the most out of it. I'm sure others on here can help if you can tell us what it is that your are going for with your car.. edit I just noticed you said what cam can you go with after headers.. that all depends how involved you want to get and what you want out of this car.. just putting a cam in with no goal in mind doesnt make any sense..
