Surging

I just bought a 1989 IROC-Z and it is surging when sitting at an idle or while in gear and sitting at a red light. The guy that i bought the car from said it had been sitting for about two months, so I thought that the injectors may be gummed up. I ran two things of Lucas gas treatment through two tanks of gas and it is still surging. The plugs and wires have been replaced. Any ideas. Thank you.

Re: Surging

Start searching for vacuum leaks. You should also check your base timing.

Re: Surging

Check the IAC sensor and see if it is full of carbon. That is what caused mine to surge like you mentioned.
