'92 RS?
355 swap?
Tune?
Carb?
Need something to go on. Bunch of scattered information that no one on earth could put together to give any sort of useful information?
Tell us about the rebuilt 350. What was used to put it together. Heads. Cam. Intake manifold. Distributor. Carb. Need some information.
Is the exhaust stock? What do you have?
What do you call "tuning"? Need some hint about what you did in that arena.

maybe you have your plug wires crossed. I had the same problem with my car. Im not sure of the firing order but do a search on a v8 firing order for a chevy. thats what i did, hope this helps.

I have a 650 cfm Edelbrock Carb
202 Heads
Flattop pistons
Stock cam
Edelbrock Torquer II intake
Stock Distributer
Exhaust-Shorty hooker headers with straight pipe to Cherry Bomb Glass pack
High Nickel Block
Tuning i mean by turning the 2 screws on the Carbureator
Any other information needed?
-------------------------------------
And all the PLugs are in the Correct Firing order i triple checked them becasue if that was the problem i would be pissed
but good thought

Yes. Still no clue about the "stock" stuff. Stock for what?
202 heads doesn't mean anything, either. The size of the intake valve doesn't define the heads.
Backfiring such as you describe is typically caused by either 1) severely retarded timing (How did you set the timing? By the way, stock what distributor?); or 2) leaking intake valves (Have the heads recently been freshened up by a competent shop? Are the rocker arms properly adjusted?); or 3) vacuum leak.
I've got no love lost for that carb or intake manifold, but I doubt they are your problem.
